On August 13th, Metro Blue Lake reported Blue Green Algae along their shoreline and issued an ADVISORY (a bloom has been sighted and water will be sampled within 1 business day). The ADVISORY recommends staying out of water with a visible scum. We will use our Interlachen HOA web site to keep folks updated, and also recommend visiting the Metro Blue Lake site https://www.oregonmetro.gov/parks/blue-lake-regional-park for the latest information.
Update – 8/22/2024 – Metro sent their sample results to the Oregon OHA and reported the OHA will be lifting restrictions today as the level of toxins is below levels considered unsafe.
Update – 9/03/2024 – Homeowners and Metro have observed Blue Green Algae along shoreline. Metro is taking samples today for testing. This should be considered as an ADVISORY (a bloom has been sighted and water will be sampled within one business day).
