Blue Lake Water Fill Aug. 3rd

Print Friendly

To All Blue Lake Residents
We are receiving a lake fill from the City of Portland to begin on Monday, August 3rd.
The fill will be more than a foot of water or to the level we had early this last spring.
Please make sure that your waterfronts and docks are prepared for the fill.
The water will be pumped from a well that is East of Blue Lake that taps into the Troutdale Aquafer. This is the deepest of the Portland wells and has very low nutrient levels. This is important to help prevent Bluegreen algae blooms.
Thanks to Richard Sherman for helping to get the process moving and Metro for their requesting this from the Water Bureau. It has been several years since we have had a lake fill.

Warning – Daytime Break-ins Around Interlachen

Print Friendly

There have been several thefts and break-in attempts around the Interlachen neighborhood in recent weeks. Aluminum canoes have been stolen, garages rifled for power tools, and home computers have been targeted. Most disturbing is that some are now in the daytime, including one recent attempt while the resident was at home! The “suspect” couple, male and female, were dressed in black and riding motorcycles. They were apprehended by the police shortly after fleeing the attempted break-in.
