2. Reading and Approval of the Minutes:
The board meeting notes for July 11, 2016, were approved by the board and have been posted on the Interlachen, Inc. website.
3. REPORTS OF OFFICERS AND COMMISSIONERS:
- PRESIDENT, Jerry Mylet:
Jerry asked for information on the meetings that were held regarding the proposal to build a distribution center/warehouses on the current farmland property west of Fairview Lake. Jerry suggested we wait until the organizers of the many residents opposed to the project present plans. We will then join in as determined by a vote by the board. Some people feel we have no say in the sale and building proposed by Trammel, but we can demand that the developers heed guidelines for lighting, fencing, sound walls, traffic, and landscaping to ensure the least negative impact on our neighborhood. Tom Burns recommended we obtain a perpetual agreement to ensure that employees are not allowed to use Interlachen Lane or Lake View Drive to enter or exit the parking lots.
- VICE PRESIDENT, Laura Cohen Seale:
Laura showed us the video surveillance signs and the plaque honoring Al Goetz and Carl Marking. They look beautiful. Much gratitude to Laura for handling the purchase for us. A dedication annoucement will be made at the annual meeting in April of 2017 for Al and Carl.
- SECRETARY, Michelle Monson:
No new businness.
- TREASURER, Kevin Morrow:
The ending balance is $45,108.66 as of July, 2016. The checking account total is $16,972.45. We have 95 paid members. Billpay for SaniCan, Joe Hartman (website manager), PGE, Tom Burns (paint), and Laura Seale Cohen were approved.

Debbie was unable to attend the PUD meeting.
On October 3, 2016, Fairview lake will begin the lowering process. FLPOA’s annual meeting will be held on November 3, 2016.
- BLUE LAKE COMMISSIONER, Steve Nelson:
Steve was excused. Kevin brought up amending the boat rules to bring them up to date. It was suggested he present the changes at the annual meeting.
- ROADS AND PARKS COMMISSIONER, Tom Burns:
Tom and Yuval Golan are composing a materials list for the sprinkler system to be installed in Welsh Park. Jesus will bid on landscaping and the trench work. Voluteers will be requested to fill to refill trenches after laying the pipes. The pipes will be 3/4 inch.
