Meeting Called to Order: 10:10 am
Moved and seconded to approve February 3, 2014 minutes.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS AND COMMISSIONERS:
PRESIDENT, Allen Johnson:
Allen will make up a flyer to be distributed the first week of April with the agenda for the April annual meeting. Some topics to be included in the flyer: the formation of the 2014/15 board, presentations by the Troutdale Energy Center, changes to the Blue Lake Boat Rules, Metro plans, among others.
Note: By-laws require that the new board be formed within a week of the
FLPOA/IWPUD LIAISON COMMISSIONER, Bob Torheim:
Bob will contact PUD and FLPOA/Bob Dolphin to present at the annual meeting. Allen will include Bob’s information once received in the power point presentation for the meeting.
TREASURER, ROGER KEAST:
Motion to approve Bank Reconciliation for February, 2014 seconded as well as distribution to Roger, check #1278.
Roger will present the need for a dues increase to $250 in 2015 at the annual meeting. Only those with paid memberships can vote.
Roger will provide auditors with financial report prior to the annual meeting.
Roger offered to send dues notices to potential associate members.
Roger will attend the next TEC meeting in place of Allen, scheduled for
Wednesday, March 12th at the Fairview City Hall.
ROADS AND PARKS COMMISSIONER, TOM BURNS:
Members to be informed that the parks will not go over budget next year.
Tom is looking for volunteers to design a water system and for planting
around the Blue Lake Easement.
BLUE LAKE COMMISSIONER, TED SMITS:
Ted will obtain the 2014 boat stickers and wants to step down as commissioner.
SOCIAL COMMITTEE, MICHELLE MONSON:
A meeting to develop the social calendar for 2014 will be held Thursday, March 13th at the home of Erika Teyema.
This year, ideally, different volunteers will chair different events.
An appeal for more volunteers will be made at the annual meeting.
Interlachen will continue to use boat fees to fund lake fills for Blue Lake. Any legal fees for a Memorandum of Understanding between Interlachen, Inc. and the Troutdale Energy Center regarding Bluye Lake fills will have to
be funded with boat fee monies.
PUD needs to provide TEC with baseline well water levels in order to quantify any water rights violations as a result of usage by the TEC. Any legal fees for a Memorandum of Understanding between Interlachen, Inc. and the Troutdale Energy Center will need to be paid by the Interlachen PUD.
