Minutes from July were approved as corrected.
President – Allen Johnson
Vice President – Gary McCoy
No report. Ted advised that we need to confirm who is chairman of the Blue Lake committee. The board will check the standing rules with regard to the Blue Lake Committee.
Secretary – Sheri Parshall
Sheri is tasked with posting minutes of May, June and July to the web site.
Treasurer Roger Keast
Roger presented this month’s checks for approval. Total cash assets are $20,070.44, and cash available is $14,510.33. The budget has been updated. It was moved and seconded to approve payment of the invoices presented. Motion passed.
FLPOA/IWPUD – Bob Torheim
Bob advised that it was decided that a second treatment of Fairview Lake was unnecessary. Residents at the west end of the lake will be getting together to plan a weed-pulling party.
Nothing to report from the monthly PUD meeting.
Blue Lake Commissioner – Ted Smits
Tom Burns – Road and Parks Commissioner
The board noted some concern about the “Interlachen” sign at the east end of the street, and there was discussion regarding the easement, and ownership of the same. Rosie Tuttle will be approached to research ownership of the easement. Pat Brawley maintains the plants at the west end of the street, and it was recommended that we recognize her in the form of a written “thank you”.
Bettianne Goetz – Membership
Bettianne left a brochure with new residents Lance and Jennifer West. Several people have indicated interest in becoming associate members. It was recommended that associate members be issued membership cards. Bettianne will recommend an increase in dues for associate members.
Social Committee – Erika Teyema
Erika reported on several upcoming events, including the August 11 garage sale, the August 19 potluck, and Art in the Park on August 26. To date, twenty homes have signed up to participate in the street sale, and at least twenty artists will be participating in Art in the Park.
Park Benches – Erika
Erika advised that the park benches seem secure at this point.
It was moved and seconded that new business be tabled until the September meeting. Motion passed.
By-Laws have been updated and posted.
