The new Rainbow play structure is up at Welsh Park.  The children have already had a few lovely days to enjoy it.  Thanks to all the Interlachen members for the unanimous vote to enhance our park with this fun addition.  The park has seen several improvements in the last month.  Our community – your neighbors – have put in hours of volunteer time in these efforts.  Special thanks goes to:

  • Carl Marking for replacing boards and improving the safety of the large play structure
  • Betty and Roger Keast for cleaning out the sandbox
  • Jeff Hauck, our Roads and Parks Commissioner, for facilitating all excavation efforts for the new play structure, adding new sand to the sandbox and along the lakeshore, and adding dirt and grass seed to the eroding hillside
  • Dan Reynolds, Tammy Reynolds, Allen Johnson, Jeff Hauck, Emek Golan, Chuck and Debbie (Ronni Golan’s visiting relatives), and Roger Keast for hauling 14 yards of cedar chips
