The minutes of the 79th Annual Meeting were approved.

Board Member Positions were determined.

President – Sue Myers

Vice President – vacant

Secretary – Erika Teyema

Treasurer – Roger Keast

Roads and Parks – Jeff Hauck

Membership – Tammy Reynolds

Social – Bettianne Goetz

The Vice President spot was left vacant. Emek Golan will not be able to serve on the board this year due to business travels. Sue Myers said she will approach the Whiteheads to see if they would accept this position. There was a motion to accept all positions. It was seconded and passed unanimously. Mel and Lance returned keys for the Blue Lake boat launch and they were redistributed.

Sue asked the new board members to think about goals for the new board.

There was a request from some Fairview Lake members for a reduction in dues for Fairview Lake members due to the fact that they also pay a $50 FLOPOA membership fee. It was determined that the 2 organizations have different responsibilities – FLOPOA being the lake and Interlachen takes care of the road maintenance, lights and parks. Blue Lake is also now forming BLIA and each Blue Lake member is now responsible for a $1200 Solar Bee expense. The motion was made to not reduce fees for Fairview Lake or Blue Lake residents. The motion passed unanimously.

There was some discussion about the responsibility of trees on the road easement. It was determined that the road is public, thus the trees belong to the county. However, the county will not maintain the road or trees because the street is not wide enough.

We will continue working with Metro regarding the noise ordinance. Scott Plaskill is the new park manager and can be reached at 503-729-6267. The lead ranger is Jim Caudell 503-705-6977 . Boat rental contact # is 503-661-6087. Roads and Parks should look into easement step repairs. The new board members will need to be listed on the website. Bank of America requires signature cards for new board members. Mel suggested a possibility of changing banks.

Water will be added to Fairview Lake on May 11th. Next meeting will be the Monday, June 1st.
