Also, the social committee is considering a non-motorized boat race on Blue Lake the morning of July 4th. This event will be held if there is enough interest from Interlachen, Inc. members. Come join the fun at the pancake breakfast & put in your two-cents worth.
The social committee wants to buy a banner to scale the road (above moving vehicles) that will alert people to planned social events. Josh volunteered to check pricing from another source.
Debbi: Made a motion to purchase the banner if the price didn’t exceed $800.00.
The motion was seconded. A yes vote was unanimous.
Debbi: The audit committee has made a recommendation to change the accounting system from an accrual accounting system to a cash accounting system. She is checking into this.
Bob: made a motion to pay the following bills; The motion was seconded. A yes vote was unanimous.
Abel Chavez: $250.00 (lawn & yard maintenance)
Shelley Oleachea-Caufield: $226.07 (copies & reimburse for website payment)
PGE: $84.23 (lights)
Lance: No report at this time on the Fairview Lake Boat Launch.
Jason: Will talk to Jim Lind, Blue Lake Park Manager, about colored warning flag to be displayed in the event the lake is closed due to any unforseen circumstances such as we had last year.
Right of way: The fire department has notified Interlachen, Inc. that property owners and or guests are parking vehicles and boats in such a way that emergency vehicles will not be able to have complete access to Interlachen Lane in the event of an emergency. Vehicles can be towed if found blocking access to the road.
Terry: Waiting for one last bid to put in three more speed bumps and to repair eight potholes.
Debbi: To lead a committee to determine the feasibility of turning the gazebo at Nick & Maidie Welsh Park into a club house. This would determine the cost of new roofing, lighting, new tables & chairs, heat, and walls. The hope is that this could be a gathering place for the whole community.
A brief discussion was held to lower the Blue Lake boat fee:
Debbi: made a motion to temporarily lower the Blue Lake boat fee, for one year to a flat fee of $25.00. The motion was seconded. A yes vote was unanimous.
A discussion was held to charge non members who attend pancake breakfasts a fee:
Terry: made a motion to charge non members of Interlachen, Inc. $20.00 per lot for future pancake breakfasts. The motion was seconded. A yes vote was unanimous.
